Body Stress Release

Body Stress Release (BSR) is a complementary health technique pioneered by Ewald and Gail Meggersee. The main purpose of Body Stress Release is to release stored tension from the body, thereby activating the process that restores and enhances the body’s natural ability to heal itself. When the body reaches a point of stress overload and the stress goes beyond the body’s ability to adapt, the stress becomes “locked” into the physical structures, which we call “body stress”. This impacts the nervous system and disturbs the body’s lines of communication, thereby undermining efficiency of function.

The effect of stored body stress may result in:

  • pain
  • stiffness, with restricted movement and loss of flexibility
  • numbness
  • muscle weakness
  • distorted posture
  • tiredness
  • disturbed function
